That's why we think it's so important for you to SAVE THE DATE for the Federal Hiring Event for People and Veterans with Disabilities on April 26, 2010. Now's your chance to go after a disability job in a workplace that will welcome you and be ready for you. Employment diversity and inclusion are hallmarks of the federal system, along with job benefits and the possibility of moving up the career ladder. Veterans with disabilities are encouraged to attend. Disability Jobs Webinars If you've previously been overwhelmed by the application process for a disability job in the federal government, help will be available. Three free webinars will be available to interested people with disabilities on the following topics: Why Work for the Federal Government? Preparing a Resume for Federal Employment Obtaining Your Schedule A Documentation The disability jobs hiring event will last all day. Personnel from a variety of agencies will review job resumes prior to the event, in order to evaluate and offer interviews to prospective candidates for disability jobs only. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the U. S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy are sponsoring this day-long Federal Government-wide Hiring Event.
