Guest guest
Hi Donnell, My daughter's stepson is 8 and has been on adderall for adhd. She takes him for EKG's regularly. DJ's neuro wouldn't start him on Adderall until he had been to his Cardio for a baseline EKG and then we had to return 2 weeks into the drug for another EKG. And again when we upped the Adderall from 5 mg. to 10 mg. I assumed all the fuss was because DJ IS a heart patient, having had two open heart surgeries, but perhaps it is something to check into for any child on these stimulants. DJ does seem to have more focus, but it is often times very hard to tell, since he is so sensory-impacted.
