I have used Zinc and Zinc Oxide for years and years with no problems/side

effects. However, I have always stayed within the user guidelines for

application, never exceeding the limit.

As for adding to the Medical Alert List, there are probably medications that

should be added for adverse effects and plenty more herbals and 'naturals' too.

Plus mixing of certain medications with food (such as amitriptyline and

grapefruit), or simply being out in the sun, can all increase the amount of

medication one receives, without knowing it.

The very best we can do is understand the Medication Alert List, and know all

the different medications that are * deriviative * of medications listed. My

experience with Propranolol given to me for tremors exacerbated my CMT symptoms

100%. I was a wreck physically. It is a very common medication for tremors. Only

I could not walk, I would stagger and fall. Stopped the medication once I

learned it comes from Dilantin. (on the Medication List)

We all have uniquely designed nervous systems, and vigilance over all, even

herbals, botanicals, pharmaceuticals etc. is needed.
