Guest guest
Hi, Everyone.............Pilonidal cysts are cysts that travel down your butt crack. He's had so many surgeries in the past (I don't even remember..... 6 or 8) and each time they take away more and more of his back end and send him home with marsupial wounds........golf ball size holes (or bigger) that need to be packed and repacked daily till the tissue grows from the inside out. They fester for a long time, eating away at the tissue inside before they finally break through the skin. There can be so many 'fingers' to them, that if they don't get them all during surgery, they just start growing inside and fill up again till they come through. Right now, he has a pencil size hole that has been draining puss and blood since June 9th. I am still waiting for the plastic surgeon to call me. The doc said they need to reconstruct his back end to try and get rid of them forever. Due to his Sclero/UCTD, though, his body doesn't heal properly. He's got so much granulation tissue instead of normal tissue back there. Take care, Everyone. Margaret **************Gas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars.
