Its not the seed company's fault. It's the cost of fuel. Prices are up on

everything because of it.

I looked at Sprout House and their shipping charges are out of sight!

Can't believe it!

I garden, and noticed this year that a lot of the catalogs had increased

their shipping costs significantly. I cancelled all of them that had

done that.

I did an online search and came up with some other sprout options for peas:

They have dun peas, which look like a type of green pea for $6.95 for a

pound, and shipping is $$5.50, priority mail. Shipping for 2 lbs is $8.05.

I went to amazon.com, and found that Sprout House has a lot of their

seeds there, and with $25 they are eligible for FREE SHIPPING!

1 lb of Seeds is $4.95, shipping is $6.08.

Or you can get 2.5 lb, for $10.95, shipping is $6.90. This seller is

Living Whole Foods, but they are SH seeds.

When I've tried to sprout peas before, they always start getting slimy

and smell bad after a few days, even if I rinse a lot. Anyone have any

suggestions?

Most sellers have not increased their shipping costs that much. They

also haven't increased their product costs that much. But some have more

than doubled their shipping costs. Some of the seed catalogs have

increased both until they are out of my reach.

Maybe Sprout House increased their shipping costs to make up for the

free shipping costs they offer through amazon.com?
