Two New Centers of Excellence Recognized: Louisiana State University HSC and

Vanderbilt University Medical Center

We are excited to announce the addition of Louisiana State University Health

Sciences Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center to The Neuropathy

Association's network of Neuropathy Centers of Excellence.

As we kick-off our 15th year, the Association is preparing for the next phase of

its Neuropathy Centers of Excellence Network, now totaling 14 centers across the

U.S. Led by D. England, M.D., F.A.A.N., the Center at Louisiana State

University HSC now serves the New Orleans community and attracts patients from

across Louisiana and neighboring states. D. Donofrio, M.D. will head the

Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, serving the Nashville region and

surrounding areas.

The Association-Designated Neuropathy Centers of Excellence serve as hubs of

neuropathy care and research led by center directors—pioneering neurologists in

the field of neuropathy—working closely with The Neuropathy Association to

ensure patients have access to compassionate and coordinated care and the

resources they need to battle neuropathy.

According to Dr. England, " We look forward to working with The Neuropathy

Association to build on our services for the neuropathy community. Disease

education is an integral part of patient care, as is ensuring patients have the

supportive environment they need to cope and live well beyond their neuropathy. "

Dr. Donofrio shares, " We are honored to be recognized as a Neuropathy

Association Center of Excellence. In collaborating with The Neuropathy

Association, we hope to drive early recognition and deliver on compassionate

care to make a difference for people living with neuropathy. "
