Guest guest
People can 'believe as they wish', we are all different, for me, however, the truth of my body ecology is entirely distinct from CMT. There is no myth there. Contracting Rheumatic Fever, having a Rotator Cuff tear repaired, undergoing a lumbar fusion and yes, having a tooth pulled have had nothing to do with CMT. Perhaps I am hyper sensitive to pain, or not. Perhaps non-affected people are hypersensitive to pain or not. Jackie, as I did for the 'teeth issue', I searched for glaucoma and CMT. There isn't a wide body of research on this, but some types of CMT can have optic atrophy, and there are 2 abstracts related to juvenile and early onset glaucoma and a link to type 4B. More info on glaucoma in general at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glaucoma As for my eyes, it is an age related issue, and a common one. I need glasses to read the tiny print on food labels, the newspapers, and to paint. However, if a horse is standing on a mountain 20 miles away I see him perfectly. As we age, it is even more important to take good care of ourselves, in every respect. If you feel something is CMT related, please speak to one of the CMT experts at the new CMT centers. If you are 40 or more, make sure you keep that annual checkup on your body, including, eyes, ears, heart, etc. Gretchen
