Beware of the Tooth in CMT

Hello All -

An interesting thing happened to me yesterday. I had scheduled my regular

annual dental exam...but went in a day early because of a severe pain in the

back of my lower jaw. Come to find out that I had had an abcess in the nerve of

that tooth for at least eight (8) months and didn't feel the pain. I was able

to look at an xray from July 2009 and saw the same abcess. I had to have an

emergency root canal.

Does this make sense to anybody? Are the sensory nerves affected even in the

mouth? I had been concentrating on the feet and hands but now I am forced to

beware of the possibility of CMT affecting sensory nerves all over.
