Guest guest
Jane. I love to learn stuff and I love to find other mediums that are out there. I went to google and typed in Cotton Batting. I found this link http://www.overstock.com/Crafts-Sewing/Warm-and-Natural-Cotton-Batting-King-Size\ /3127860/product.html If you scroll down a bit you'll see a very large roll of cotton batting. Can this be used as a medium? I don't see why not. Any thoughts?? Anyone?? I mean, it would save a lot of money, right? Guest guest
I've got the batting here...bought it at JoAnn's a few months ago...organic unbleached...I had a 1/2 price coupon, otherwise I think it would be too pricey Jane > Jane. > I love to learn stuff and I love to find other mediums that are out there. Guest guest
Oh, it has to be organic and unbleached?? How much is it regularly? Thanks much Melody > > > > > > > Wow, what an easy way to grow stuff. > > > > > > > > Take a look > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Melody > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
You DEFINITELY do NOT want to use plain cotton batting for sprouting-most is treated with fire retardant and has been bleached with chemicals, and is made from GMO cotton. You avoid that by with unbleached organic batting, which is what I have used for years. I get a large roll for 13 dollars at my local quilt shop-I initially had them special order it for me a few years ago, but they now carry it in stock. > > > > > > > > > Wow, what an easy way to grow stuff. > > > > > > > > > > Take a look > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Melody > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Mel, Considering that you can cut the peas and they will grow again, you really, really have a lot of pea shoots. ew Sure to Grow Mat works FINE!!!! Wow, what an easy way to grow stuff. Take a look Melody
Guest guest
You think I have a lot of peas? I take the shoots and put them in my sprout bag to use in my salads and to bring for breakfast. So one of my trays (rectangle square ones) would make maybe one day of shoots. Because both Alan and I eat them in the salads and I do the stir fry. So if I want to have a constant supply I have to grow BIG batches. And more so now because I threw out all my sunnies after I found the bugs. So I am awaiting the order I did with Sprout People for sunflower seeds. Then MAYBE I can grow less pea shoots. But for now, if I want to make them as a side dish, I NEED SHOOTS!!! lol Melody > > Mel, > Considering that you can cut the peas and they will grow again, you really, really have a lot of pea shoots. > ew > > Sure to Grow Mat works FINE!!!! > > Wow, what an easy way to grow stuff. > > Take a look > > > > Melody > > > > >
