Guest guest
I did the same thing back in December last year thought it was just a sprain don't even remember doing anything to it. When I got it x-rayed they told me it was broken. I haven't a clue how I did it. Took 7 weeks on an air caste to heal. Still feel an occational twinge. When I told the orthopedic surgeon I had CMT he told said, " That explains what you didn't feel it when you broke it "
Guest guest
I have always had weak ankles but now that the CMT has progressed I no longer sprain my ankles the way I used to with some frequency. Now if I step on something like uneven pavement that would have sprained my ankle before, my ankle just gives way. I may lose my balance but there are no muscles to get sore and swell up. Unfortunately, the last event was not a sprain but a stress fracture that took 6 months to heal, the first 3 spent with the inflatable boot.
