You can select " to view at web site " . Then you just have to remember to log

on to your " My OneList " each day to read the messages.

No I don't think you can get both the digest and

individual e-mail's---you have to choose one or the

other. However, to access the archives, you go to onelist, look under

my groups. You will get your groups listed, click on , then

messages, wait and the digests will come up. Umm, I think I got that

right:), but I am not too awake atm...

How do i go about accessing the archives for ? I typed in the

address given, but was not able to access them. Is it possible to

maintain ones membership in both the regular bulletin board and the

digest one at the same time. cherie

Joan: Please send/resend info on how to get to the web page . What is the

URl??

Sara

>>> jmedlen@... - 04/07/0 8:50 PM >>>

Although we do not have the archives for the list when it was on teleport,

we have archives of things posted since our move to onelist. You can get to

them by clicking on the " homepage URL " at the bottom of each email mesage

(or digest) and then click on messages.

You can also set your mail preferences there: web only, digest, or email.

Take care,

Joan

Or did you mean the URL for the archives? Duh:

Shortcut URL to this page:

Then you have to sign in with your email and a password (or create a

password thing) . After that, click on messages for the archives.

I am forwarding this to my son Avi so when you get E-Mail from him you will know

why. This is the work that he does and he is interested in helping for Elie's

The URL is:

It's so badly neglected. We have a bookstore with Amazon that we could put

all our favorite books in, and so forth.

How do you go into the archives?

Well, assuming you haven't yet jumped through the hoops that

our new groups administration makes us go through to get

where we're going (it used to be easier and will be again

after we've done the jumping):

First go to http://www.

Click on " Account Info "

Click on " Sign Me Up "

Fill out the form with your personal information, and submit it.

Click on " My Groups "

Click on " Account Wizard " and enter the required information.

Click on " View My Groups "

Click on " oxyplus "

Near the bottom of that page, you'll find the list archive.

Happy hunting -- lotta good stuff in there,

Green

PS -- Once you go through the above process once, next time you go

to the groups page http://www., the lists you're

subscribed to will be on that page and all you have to do is click

on any one you want access to information on, including archives,

if the list has an archive.

Yes, go to:

/messages

If you have not registered with groups, you will have to do that prior

to being able to use the web reading function. There is no way to get the

archives by email.

Hi ,

You would go to . Then to My Groups. Then click on this group. and you

should be

able to find the archives from there. Best have a comfy seat, I imagine there

are a lot.

There's probably a search feature that might help, as long as folks have changed

the

subject line when replying. Which I sometimes forget to do in my haste. <sigh>

I was going through the archives for this group and noticed that some

people were diagnosed with flatback(HARMS) syndrome back in 1997. I

wasn't diagnosed until 2000 after going to many different doctors for 10

years, even orthopedic specialists. I had gone from doctor to Doctor

trying to find out why I am in so much pain if I was supposedly cured

many years before with the Harrington Rod surgery.?

They would just take an x-ray, tell me the rod is still in place,

then send me on my way.? I live in a suburb close to NYC and am amazed

that it took until 2000 to get a proper diagnosis. You would think living

close to a big city would be an advantage, but as it turned out it was

just hit and miss anyway. Don't these Doctors talk to each other at

conventions and such.? I guess we as patients have to do alot of

homework ourselves and " buyer beware " of your Doctor. Make sure that he

is as up to date and aware as possible. OY, sometimes hindsite is 20/20 .

But thank God for the internet. That really has made a difference for us

now.! Thanks for listening. ..Carol H.

It's really very simple once you know how to do it. Go to

http://www.risg.org/archives/

Type in the word " hip " without quotes in the text box next to the blue box

that says " pico search " . Then before anything else select your search

criteria, there's a pull down menu under the text box you just filled in.

Click on the down arrow and choose " find exact phrase " then in the only

other pull sown menu choose " Archives " and click on " Search RISG " .

It'll show you all the files we have containing the exact phrase or word

" hip " . It'll show you he have 293 documents that contain your search

results.

Username and password to the RISG.ORG Archives.

Username: MEMBER

Password: LMIA stands for LET ME IN AGAIN.

All in capitol letters.

You can then search each file by using your browsers find feature. It

changes depending on the browser you have but on the Internet Explorer you

simply click on the edit pull down menu the " find on this page " . It'll then

show you all the occurrences of that word or phrase in that file.

,

The program searches backward one page at a time. Just keep hitting the Next button, and you'll search back through the messages.

Someone recently posted with a link for a program that Ulisses Voulgaris had sent to me a bit back, which allows you to download all the messages from a group onto your hard drive and have dramatically improved search capabilities.
