Hi, Everyone......Vicki....that is good that she is being seen by a gastro

doc. Would it help to give Nexium at night, too? Just throwing out ideas

here.

Kris...........LOL.....Gareth has learned that loud farts really get my

*ire* up. I give him *that look* expecting him to say 'excuse me' . Depending

on his mood he will say " excuse me " or , if he's being goofy, " gas leak. " It

doesn't help when you have a DH and another son who makes 'fun' of such

bodily functions as burping and farting!!! Unfortunately, my DH has JUST now

realized that G doesn't understand such 'humor' is to be left at home and NOT

done in public!!!

As for shaving, we got G an electric shaver and he watched his Dad.

Initially, we had to 'help' him but now he does it by himself. We went that

route

because his face can be dry.....there is no way we could shave his face since

he won't allow lotions, soap on it. As for the lotion on body........G

hasn't gotten that far!!! He will allow me to put soap on a wash clothe and he

will hold it very gingerly with 2 fingers to 'wash' himself. When he washes

his hair, it's with a drop of shampoo on one palm and he will take that one

hand over his head, in one area, and then rinse. It's easier to do it myself

and know his hair is getting cleaned all over!!! For years, we couldn't go

near G if we had just sprayed hair spray on our hairs, put on hand lotion, had

wet hair, smelled of cologne, had mousse on my hair, etc.......he'd take on

look at us and start gagging and throwing up. He's gotten a lot better over

the years. He now gets up early and sneaks into the shower and does it by

himself. I know the hair isn't cleaned perfectly and he didn't use any soap,

but I figure he's now really filthy dirty and the water does a good enough job.

Once or twice a week, I manage to get in there and help him to 'do it

right'.
