CMT Sameness and Differences....and When?

Hello All -

I'll be 60 yrs old in June 2010. Typing and writing has become very difficult

for me over the last several months...so I've been mostly a reader from the

group.

Although I was " officially " diagnosed with the disease in Sept 2009 I now have

recognised symptoms that many of you have had, that my dad, his sisters and

brothers had, and now my cousins have since I was 35 yrs old.

While I don't have issues with drop foot or any serious pain, since 2005 my

balance has been " off the map. " I have problems with the sensitivity in the

extremities..fingers, toes..and eyes (of late). They are always cold. My

balance is " shot. " I have gait and ataxia issues. I also have frequent

" lightning strikes " ...

I'm curious as to others with similar experiences and what they are

experiencing.
