Guest guest
Hi all, Recently I came across one website related to regenerative medicine with the help of Stem Cells. In Mumbai, India the neurologists are doing stem cell transplant for various problems including muscular dystrophy. But they have not come across or treated any case related to CMT or peripheral neuropathy. Here is the website of the institute (Neurogen - Brain & Spine Institute). Request you to visit the site and let me know your views/opinions. Warm Regards, - Leena
Guest guest
Leena, Would you please post the entire URL for this Institute? Here in California, the Institute of Regenerative Medicine is working hard on Stem Cell Research as are Universities and affiliates across the USA in Europe and in China. Do you know about Dellon Institute's work with peripheral nerves? http://www.dellon.com/content/view/12/26/ http://www.dellon.com/content/view/15/31/ His thesis http://igitur-archive.library.uu.nl/dissertations/2007-0312-200314/index.htm I have not seen anything to suggest this would work for CMT nerves, as CMT is genetic (meaning in our DNA) but then again we are on the forefront of regenerative medicine, so no one really knows what will help for treatment and arrestment.
