Guest guest
Ok, So it looks like we are all interested in knowing what the candidates plan to do on this issue, correct? So, I emailed both campaigns asking for information on the area. I received a response from both within 2 hours. The McCain response was what looked like an auto reply that went something like " Thank you for your interest. We'll get back to you as soon as we can. " The Obama response was a personal note from a campaign staffer along the lines of " Thanks for your interest, here's our plan document for this issue, let me know if you have any questions. " I have attached the plan document for your review. I went on the McCain site, but had trouble getting around in it and did not find anything, perhaps someone could poke around on their site and see if anything interesting pops up. Please do not misconstrue this email as a specific endorsement of either candidate, my goal here is to get information into the hands of people looking for it. This document, and maybe one from the McCain camp could serve as a foundation for us to express our desires in a unified way on behalf of our particular little neighborhood of the Disability Community (whatever that is). Or not, maybe we all just get a little better informed. I'd appreciate it if someone had time to look around on the McCain site and see if anything can be found. Thanks All. Either of these people want our votes, let them SHOW US that they will stand together with us in a movement to fully fund the needs of our kids, (insusrance and life) and END THE WATING LISTS (and the shadow waiting lists). First one to want to work on this gets my vote . I knw - one issue platforms are doom to failure, but right now I haven't heard anything but war and economics and I don't know about you but I don't agree with anyone of them on most of these issues.
