-List,

When we actually went down to the health store, the store manager had discussed

Melatonin usage with an doc-autism specialist who said that Melatonin can cause

hallucinations in some children with autism...Yikes!

There are probably side effects to every choice I could have made, but he was

adamant that I not buy it for her.

Thus he recommended " Calms Forte " ...

The couple of nights we tried the Calms Forte dosage recommended, it took an

hour or so, but she slept through and woke easily for school.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting your info as should we decide that Melatonin is

the better choice when we FINALLY see a neurologist for Aubrey for the first

time (ped/psychiatric evaluator finally recommended it!) that dosage info, esp

regarding time release formula will be great to have.

I'm sure this question is old stuff to the rest of you all, so thanks for your

patience!

FYI-RE: " RESTORIL " sleep aid for Mommies & Daddies---

I got slammed in the side of my face with a soccer ball in the last ten minutes

of the AYSO National Games here in Hawaii on 7/13/08 (stray penalty kick while

watching/supporting Aubrey's Buddies' team-by a U14 player-have been coaching

the " Mililani Miracles " our VIP program here for years and never got hit on OUR

FIELD!!) thus the Prednisone for resulting Bell's Palsy (caught early enough-no

facial droop yet)...

....Am finally weaned down to 30mgs of Prednisone per day, but can't sleep

without " Restoril " and man does THAT pill make ME " see things " when I'm

sleeping...but then again, I'm sure the Prednisone/Restoril in my system is

ridiculous in itself, but there's not much of a choice. Can't wait til I can get

off steroids!

When they say " heads up " on the soccer field, they mean HEADS UP!

Otherwise, get a messed up head instead.

Some silly Hawaiian humor for the day! :)

been giving me a headache. I actaully wrote my first " letter to the editor "

about it, because the movie reviewer completely left the offensive part of the

movie out of his review. He wrote me back to say the news department was

supposed to run an article alongside his review about the protests, so he didn't

mention it. My letter is on my blog. Oh, I suppose I should go post his rely

now, too.EckiMom to Kayla (DS/ASD, 4/5/04) and Laurie (PDD-NOS,
