Guest guest
Thanks Mark, actually wears night splints at night now and for the whole night so that wouldnt be a problem but I have to see if the serial casting they are speaking about is possible to not be an actual cast but more a boot that can be taken on and off. I am waiting to hear back from dr diamond, his physiatrist to see his thoughts on the suggestion. I would hate to have him in a hard cast of both feet for the summer!! I think we may need to reconsider visiting detriot after all.D Lori > >
Guest guest
Lori, I had a hard cast and then they made hard casts into night splints in the early 70's. I wore those nights splints 20 mins then took them off. They were awful to try to sleep in. I hope we have come further then that in all of these years. I have been on CMT lists for 13 years and can only recall a few children that have had the serial casting series. I wonder why it is not that popular? It would be nice if your son was able to swim and do water exercises in place of casting at least during the day. In a message dated 4/19/2010 8:53:31 A.M.
