Microchips for kids or anything like it?

We just had a scary experience. We thought Miss MC had gone missing as

we were unloading some building supplies and the garage door was left open.

Long story short, I thought she had gotten out (she is an escape artist) but

alas was sleeping in her closet. Well, the whole cul de sac was looking and I

called 911 when my mother found her sleeping in the closet in the guest

room. Anyway, my question is-is there anything like a microchip system for

kids? I know it sounds weird but we microchip our pets, is there anything for

kids that can help locate them? She always takes off her shoes, just

throwing ideas out there as to what anyone may think.
