Guest guest
<<Margaret: What's going on? Liz >> Hi, Everyone....Liz.....not much is going on personally. It's Gareth....of course. His butt never healed from his surgery July 15th. He came home all stitched up but through 'breakdown' he now has a hole that just won't heal. That has to be *packed* 2-3 times daily depending on the amt of blood and drainage. Not a very pretty sight!!! He's only been going to school 1/2 days and is very angry about that because he *thinks* he's fine and wants to stay all day. The more he sits, though, the worse it is for him. The teacher even brought in a chaise lounge chair for him to recline on during the morning when they aren't doing too much. It's been 1-2 trips weekly to Hershey. Also....I adopted a rescued Newf last Thursday........for my pleasure!!! The owner had died and there was no family to take the dog. I have been going through the process to become a rescue home myself, also, for central Pa. Like I REALLY need another job in my life!!! How's Tori doing with school so far? How are you doing? Take care and thanks for asking. How much rain are you getting today? Margaret **************Psssst...Have you heard the news? Guest guest
margaret give gareth many hugs, has to be no fun!! As for the dog, remember pets are suppose to have a calming influence, lol, sometimes I think mine give me higher bloodpressure and cholesterol though, lol, but is really neat thing to do for all those dogs needing rescuing. shawna http://sewshawna.spaces.live.com
Guest guest
OMG, Margaret! This really is getting to be just too much! I am hoping Mr G is feeling a bit better. Tori & I just got home from the ER. We went to a ASA party yesterday afternoon, and after being there for about 10 minutes, we realized she was bleeding all over (from a hole at the top of one of her fingers). It took us 20 minutes to get it to stop, but in the meantime, she got whiter than a ghost and looked like she was going to crash. Fortunately, she didn't and within about 5 more minutes she was ok. Well, we put a pressure bandage on it and all was well until....I got a call from school at 11:30 today that she was bleeding all over the place and it took them over 20 minutes of pressure to get it to stop, again! Well, off we ran to the ER, and of course, by the time we got there-it had clotted again, and all they could do was put another pressure bandage on it. FUN, Fun, FUN! Guest guest
Did no one check platelets or clotting time?? PTT?? What is this - bandage and discharge????? > Cyndi: Clueless...said it stopped, bleeding-we'll just bandage it up. > > Liz > >
Guest guest
Yepper...No bleeding..no worry.. I so wanted to squeeze the finger to make it bleed again while we were there, but I thought better of it. We will see what tomorrow brings. Guest guest
Margaret! Wonderful! I want you to know I passed around the " Miracle " story to many and got ecolades of OMG!!! Tori is doing well. We are now in the throws of trying to figure out where to send her for school in Sept. since the IU class she is in only goes up to 3rd grade. We are contemplating trying to get her back into our local school here where she is included 40% of the time and does pull outs the rest of the time. Her behaviors have been quite manageable and we think this may be the best answer for us right now. But, we will see. I hate transition time.
