Guest guest
Hi Sara.....I already have him on Acidophilus and he FINALLY took a bite of Yogurt and decided he liked it. He will only eat the Dannon Lite & Fit Strawberry, but that is better than nothing. He tasted it because the doctor told him he HAD to eat it.....not because Mom wanted him to!!! Take care, Everyone. This is one of those topics though when it involves intensive treatments that could be controversial so was only sharing bits and pieces of what I could. Most of the updated research information could be found on the Autism One Conference or Autism One Radio of many who present in regards to the Alternative Biomedical Intervention. DAN! This person KNOWS this is controversial because there has been difficultly in accessing info on it! looking for people who have actually experienced somse of this treatment to. I am praying this is about to change somewhat here in Texas of many of us who travel on this journey. One of the HB 40 has passed towards the pending files, which one of the state representatives has authored and very supportive towards the alternative biomedical intervention where several as our story have benefit from where the medication route has done more harm than good in our case. Not that I am putting medication down, this is still in our arena as needed as well as the over the counter medication route. Only now it is having to be detectives where it can not just be any type of medication even while FDA approved as most have chemical side effects as suffers from where most of the toxic will not flush out and this is one of the reasons why the intensive treatments he has benefit from. He is also under the Ozone treatments this is also through IV where it is also one of the Oxidative treatments, cleansing of the blood, etc. Added treatments here has helped decrease numerous of recurrent infections which he suffered from on a periodic monthly basis. There is also another treatment he undergoes which use to be called the PK treatment ( Kane)it is also another Oxidative treatment but here once again a no go on the push IV, it is best through slow drip, this is called something else now at the clinic receives his treatments. Since undergoing this treatments he has been vocalizing lately some words which he use to once upon a time express and has been more alert, he has " NOT " been a zombie/zoned in others words. This treatment helps cleansing of the brain neurons, etc. My middle son Rick has also been undergoing the treatments as siblings also do not fall behind. In my son's case Rick, this is his choice as he too suffered from similar issues as . Label or not, it is in the genes and environmental exposures, etc. Learning on this journey has been overwhelming but all worth it though as our lifestyle at home is transitioning for taking preventive measures with our health and leading to improved function and well being like in 's case. In Jan., when we return for our treatments, my hubby is off during that time and I actually have him scheduled for the testing and Ozone treatments. I am glad he did not mind. As for now we are fortunate though that our health insurance pays for all of this, the only thing we pay out of pocket are the supplements but all worth it when positive results have shown. I also do not just rely on the clinic's treatments, I have to also add on to what I have to learn in regards to his dietary intervention. I do wish your inquiring friend some luck here, since under the treatments based on our experiences at this clinic, going on 2 years will approve of it. Guest guest
You are a wealth of information of alternative treatments. Being of more orthodox background, I have done NONOE of this for ELie. But on the other hand - my really conservative approach seems to have helped him. Digestively he has no problems, behavior is so much better than when he was younger, and even sensory things seems to have diminished. But my friend has a much younger child and is new to exploring options. So I will share your expertise, and thank you. > > > > > I am passing on what you send me. Guest guest
Thank Sara, but not really knowledgeable compared to most of the parents who I have run across lately. I know this is honor coming from you sharing this my way. Whew! Their individuals are young and they are right along knowing more than I do and very proud of them on making an effort, but then I have had to learn many hats, so you can imagine if not thrown a curve ball then probably would of focus on one treatment at a time, not in 's case. I could at least share some of the basics or resource information which gives me that comfort that it will give other parents some Hope & Possibilities. What you know Sara on what you are applying with Elie I must agree has helped tremendously. The triggers of any disease are on the rise. I am noticing more susceptible kids come in contact with triggers such as gluten. Kids exposed to toxins, etc., along with many reported with nutritional deficiencies, especially those under the autism spectrum. I actually have my family taking the Monavie drink which my husband signed up for, not twisting their arms. I worry for them as I see lots of signs with their health issues of their poor eating intake which I have witnessed especially when they do not add any fruits or vegetables in their daily diet. They are all younger than I am. I did some homework as I am always harping on my husband when he gets into something but this time really support him on this one. Prefer this route since I went to several health food stores and found some Acai berry food items but they contain other ingredients such as soy which is a no go in my book. They have given us some feedback in regards to their trial and are wanting to jump aboard purchasing this fruit drink which contains the Acai berry and other high antioxidants fruits due to it assisting where they suffer from joint problems, one mentioned it has helped their mental clarity and promotes sound sleep. Another has reported with their digestive functions. In my case, it has helped boost my energy level, digestive functions, have not gotten ill, etc. this I do need as I am not getting any younger and of course the mission I am on with . Plus most of the fruits and vegetables that I purchase are Organic and go pretty fast or they will get spoiled fast as I am on the go or limited with funds at the time. Plus when eating the fruits or vegetables I am unable to purchase a large quantity to equal the nutrients needed. This has actually been a good investment here for us. Sorry not selling here as it one of those MLM, just sharing our experience with it. Many of my friends who I have given them a free bottle to are also seeing some positive results with their children dx'd with ADD or ADHD or under the autism spectrum. This is something else where it has helped too. There are other fruit juice which is similar but I prefer this one for now. Sorry do not mean to bombard you with rambling on so much. You are right along with what you have done for Elie though. Evaluating his diet, rebalance the nervous system, improving intestinal health issues. Guest guest
My eldest daughter is into healthy cacao mixed with acacia and blueberry to get maximum benefits from free radicals and antioxidents.. I must admit that it sounds voodoo to me, but we do eat alot of blueberries, cranberries - and of course my major food group (LOL) chocolate. But Elie would rather starve rather than eat strange food EXCEPT for dinner. Then he will eat what ever is put on his plate. As long as there is a bread to go with it. thus over the years we have doctored his bread with veggies and fruits and crowd his dinner plate with lots of veggies. Now the dentist says he must eat crunchies - first hint of peridontal disease, probably from his constant milk drinking over the last year. (As a change from diet soda - and ice water). We all do what we can and what we can believe in (sort of like religion - we all have different takes on that). > Thank Sara, but not really knowledgeable compared to most of the > parents who I have run across lately. Guest guest
Sara, knowing who is your friend and who is not is difficult even for typical kids, the difference being is that they get it after awhile. Our kids are missing the rational problem solving ability to make those choices. It's something that I continually work on. Sadly it's the not the kids that create the issues in our situation. I have the hardest time explaining that there are good and bad people even in adults and they are not your friends. Charlyne > Hi, Everyone.... .Sara...what a wonderful adventure for Elie!!! Guest guest
Sara, yes exactly, it's the faky nice adults that throws Zeb off. He can sense who likes him and who doesn't. I have told Zeb in front of people that they are liars and not nice people. You can't explain it so I use real examples. It sucks having to do this.
