Guest guest
Rhonda, Lamar here, A web search for " New Balance " turned up hundreds of sites. http://www.newbalance.com/ is the main site and http://www.newbalance.com/help/ has a store locator. Cortisone injections will help some types of joint inflammation. They are generally safe. (When I say this, any medical procedure involves some potential risks, but they are minimal with this). ----- Original Message ----- From: RAEick@... egroups Sent: Tuesday, December 19, 2000 11:48 PM Subject: [] foot pain Irecently posted a message on my moms foot pain. Rhonda >> Cortisone is not on the list of meds that we are not supposed to have. My orthopedic doc was not aware of this list until I showed it to him. He made a copy of my card for my file. Gold is on the list and should be avoided, but I think it is mostly used for rheumatoid arthritis. New Balance can be purchased on line or any fine shoe store. I like to try my shoes on, get mine at Sears.>>>>
Guest guest
Irresponsible and imprudent use of steroid injections is a bad thing, but when used appropriately, they can really help a great deal. C
Guest guest
, I'm convinced the pain in your feet (and sometimes hands) are due to nerve damage . . . demyelation of nerves . . . If I understand it correctly, this is one symptom of MS. e could explain better. That mention of a TV show on the use of bee venom caught my attention. A few years ago I saw a show, maybe the same one . . . they featured a lady they called the Bee Lady who raised bees and gave people stings to help them with MS . . . even people who were highly allergic to bees were able to do the therapy. She didn't charge anyone . . . She was getting remarkable results. Regarding my foot pain . . . I'm still using Morinda (Nature's Sunshine organically grown Noni juice) . . . it didn't help as fast as it did the first time I took it . . . But I had some, and decided to use it up before quitting. They have reformulated it by adding other juices. I don't know if that's why it's not working as well, or not. However, I am getting some relief . . . say about 50%. I'm also using a whirlpool tub to give my feet water pressure massages daily. Those tootsies feel wonderful after the massage. , have you tried tickling your feet with something like a feather, piece of paper, pin, etc. to see if you have areas that lack sensation? Guest guest
I have no numb spots on my feet at all anymore, it is funny though because when all this started I remember I had a totally numb big toe, it was just dead, it drove me nuts and as you can imagine when I went to numerous Dr's complaining of dizziness spaciness and a numb big toe they really treated me like a nut case I swear. Also Rogene there is noni juice that I think is better than Morinda, not that I want to promo any one product over another, however my husband used to run a health food store and they carried polynoni which we still have some bottles of, it is pure noni juice with no added fruit and I agree it is way way better.....I need to start back on it again, I do believe no matter what anyone says that this higher altitude and colder drier weather makes my pain worse, since when I was in CA I don't think I was as achey, so there is something to it, in CA I was at sea level and here we are at about 4600 feet above, this weekend we took a wonderful trip to a small COLD town called Pinedale Wyoming, it was so much fun, we went to my step son Cody's ice hockey game, had a blast, stayed in a nice hotel and spent time in the hot tub, but there, at 7,000 feet above sea level and the wind chill about -10 degrees I was achy as heck. Of course again I have no way of comparing what I might have felt like prior to this whole thing in this kind of weather, as I have said I lived my whole life in the SF bay area. ANyhow, these are only my own experiences and opinions. I don't know how I can ever differentiate if my pain is nerve or not, since I have had all the tests and so far they are all negative, any ideas would be appreciated though. Guest guest
Rob, When or how did this start? Could she need a chiro visit? If she did a complete cleanse, did she do the kidney cleanse? I am assuming she did.. that is why I suggest a chiropractor. Where is the pain exactly? Didn't change shoes or anything? SuziRob Combis <rcombis@...> wrote: My mother completed a total body cleanse. Guest guest
Suzi- She has been adjusted before just not in the past couple months. We have a family friend that is a chiropractor. She said she changed shoes this weekend and it was sore after that. But it has been sore before without any changes in her shoes. So sore that she could barely walk on it..... Yes, she completed the full total body cleanse. (with the kidney stuff). The pain is in her foot and I am not sure where exactly on her foot, I think the bottom. Guest guest
Hi Rob, I don't know what the cause is, but when I was suffering with a lot of foot pain, I started taking msm. It cleared it right up. HTH, TerriLynne
Guest guest
Here are a couple thoughts.. some major causes of Bottom Foot Pain: Heel pain, heel spurs and plantar fasciitis can cause bottom foot pain, especially noticeable when stepping down on the foot first thing in the morning. Those with flat feet or falling arches may also feel bottom foot pain. People with flat fleet must shift pressure from walking to other parts of the foot, which can cause intense bottom foot pain. Morton’s neuroma, an inflammation of the common digital nerve between adjacent toes on the bottom of the foot, can sometimes cause bottom foot pain. People suffering from metatarsalgia – which derives its name from the term “metatarsals,” or long bones of the foot – feel intense pain in the ball of the foot, and thus experience bottom foot pain. Plantar warts, the rough little bumps on the bottom of your foot, are actually a form of a virus, and can contribute to bottom foot pain. I would try an anti inflamatory, tumeric, MSM, arnica possibly... if it keeps up.. there are lots of reasons.. I would get an x-ray and see what exactly is causing the problem.
