Guest guest
Our home is a mobile home (not mobile at all) with add on sunroom, bedroom/storage, utility/bath room. Our main area is a living room large kitchena and dining area, a bathroom and bedroom. Not enough storage and we have added some in several places. Lowe's has a storage unit, unpainted that we put in 2 places for extra storage area. We are about 3 miles from the beach. We are right near Pompano Beach which is just north of Ft. Lauderdale. Driving to the beach is more like 10-15 minutes. Our views are not much o anything. We have a pool down the street about a half block but it isn't heated. The heated pool is several blocks away. We are a mobile home and RV community. We like the mobile home part but used to have little cottages in the trailer area but now they bring in big buses. They are very expensive, but we don't like them in here. They are in the streets and hard to drive through. Most of our community are not here in summer and they come back in November. 80% are French Canadians. There are activities here but not too many of Americans go. We will go to the 4th of July cookout. I have a lot of activities at church and there is a Brazilian festival this Sat. It is a " Brazilian county " festival and will feature hot dogs and othe Brazilian foods. I have no idea what they will do to the hot dogs. I have asked a couple of widows in the park if they would like to go. We don't want to be cash strapped so haven't moved to anywhere near beach as we can't afford it. Our needs are met. My sister wanted me to move to the other side of the state and farther north, but I like it down here. She is in a nice adult community with larger houses and sales were down a bit and we might be able to afford it and the activities are really nice there. But they don't have a nice beach near them. We like to just go to the beach and look at the water and the sand and the people. We don't go on the beach but sit on chairs in the grass or in the car. It is very relaxing. They have music on Tuesday nights. We are in a mandatory evacuation area if there is a hurricane. We would have to go to handicapped shelter or to a motel. Dave is on dialysis so the center would be the place to go.
