Guest guest
, what kind of foot pain are you having? Lately my feet feel like I am walking on bruises. Soreness on the bottom of my feet especially when I get up in the morning or after sitting for a while. Phyllis:-)
Guest guest
I have had foot pain since I got implants, it started in the middle of my foot and then it kind of moved to the heel, but sometimes it is worse than other times, I know one woman who had smooth implants only 4 months and has it too, can you believe that coincidence, then again with implants, nothing is a coincidence is it? I think what your describing is similar to mine, like you have no padding on the bottom of your feet, anyhow, massage is my best relief so I am lucky to have a husband that does that for me everynight, if you can get yours to help that would be great, if not maybe she a pro. Also I wear padded socks and insoles that can help. Did this start after your explant? It is my one symptoms that is not going away, it is frustrating as heck. Guest guest
, the foot pain just started a couple of months ago. I had implants for so long, I'm sure that is why I'm still fighting hard. Silicone 1978-ruptured,replaced with saline 1994,explant saline 1999. I have arthritis pretty bad especially in my hands--maybe that's the foot thing too. I'm also the one diagnosed with chronic lymphoproliferative disorder. Leukemia? High white blood count and really high lymphocyte count. I'm betting that it is residual silicone, but what to do?? As far as I know, there is no way to remove it from your lymph system. Phyllis:-)
Guest guest
Phyllis, I had the foot pain, too, but it came and went. Don't know why or how it went away. I am thankful that it is gone, though. It felt like the bottoms of my feet were bruised all over, and it hurt especially in the morning when I got out of bed. Like I said, it went away. I think I must have had it for about 2 months. I am not sure about silicone in the lymph, but I do think it can be removed over time with continuous detoxing. I know the body doesn't want to give it up, but I think it does! I've heard women tell of silicone " blisters " that break open and the silicone gel oozes out. That's different from the lymph situation, but let's keep thinking positive about it. Your walking and other exercise is good for moving the lymph. so keep up with it! Guest guest
My foot pain and hand pain was my very first symptom, it came way before my head thing, so it was what made me first think of my implants as being the cause, I think it is different than arthritis pain, and I do not know, am not convinced it is nerve related or not, I have had nerve conduction studies that all proved negative, and when I did the medrol pack of steroids it did actually go away, leading me to think it is still some kind of inflammation, now someone told me that toxins build up in the feet and hands, I do not know this to be true at all, but it could very well be, I think that implants damage nerves, from what I have been told again this is not just my opinion, that silicone mimics the myelin sheath covering on nerves so that when the immune system sets out to destroy the silicone it also destroys the myelin, this is one distinct possibility and also could explain at least in part some of the brain fog, but again, I am not a medical expert and these are either things I have read or are just some of my own possible explanations or opinions. I find that my pain is worse under certain specific circumstances, and better under others and I will share my experiences with you. First of all I find that exercise is the best thing for the pain, this is in and of itself my best method of coping with foot pain, it gets my circulation flowing and eases the pain tremendously, it is also excellent for you so I highly recommend vigorous exercise and if you can do it, weight training, since adding a steady amount of weight training to my cardio routine I have developed an awesome physique while helping rid my body of toxins via sweat, getting things moving, etc. Prolonged rides in cars, airplanes, prolonged sitting, lying down, anything that is inactive, makes the pain worse. Massage is awesome, it is the best, hot soaks in a tub, mineral pool or even a bucket helps, and I have some cream that works good called capisin, (sp?) anyhow my hubby rubs these achy feet everynight and that helps. Amazingly enough, flat shoes seem to bother me more than a raised platform type shoe, this is a mystery to me, it is almost as if I have a reaction to rubber shoes, after awhile they start to really throb, get hot, this seems more nerve related. My rheumy here in Idaho has been great at ruling things out, but no answers yet, maybe once I find out about the contents of the implants I will find out what I might be battling, however remember, other than foot pain, which is not in any way debilitating I operate at 100% and in no way does this slow me down. I have had a tendency towards sweets lately, and this may be part of my problem, I eat allot of protein for body building and sometimes wonder if this could be hampering my healing in the way of this foot issue, but I also know that with the amount of working out I do I cannot just live on veggies and fruit, I am hungry constantly if I do that, so I compromise this part of healing therapy in order to look the way I enjoy looking, I take allot of pride in my body and muscle tone and the fact that I look good in a bikini after all I have been through, so it can be a matter of priorities. I work out 5 days a week, with weightlifting 3 days, 1.5 to 2 hours a day and I must say that is a tough schedule but I feel awesome and my arms look killer. Anyhow try to keep your feet warm and get a massage as often as possible, soaks in Epsom salts, etc....these are all great ideas. Guest guest
I am aware of this however, this is also not exactly the case as I don't believe I got osteoporosis over night at all, in fact it took along time, during which I was very sedentary and ate mostly junk not allot of protein. The problem here is that you cannot really body build the way I do and not take in protein, however I do balance it out, also my Dr said that it is really really important that I build up my muscles to help support my spine. I don't eat allot of animal protein, I do take in enough however to feed my muscles. I am also taking good calcium with magnesium, and my nasal spray, I meet with my Dr on the 28th to find out what else I can do to help my bones. Thanks though for caring, have you ever tried to work out and lift weights and not eat any protein, you will basically burn up muscle not fat, big problem, so it is a catch 22. Guest guest
I guess I will find this out, as I am on a vegetarian diet now and began lifting weights also! Guest guest
By the way, I got that tape by Kathy , " Lifting weights to Lose weight " that you recommended--does that lady have implants? She sure looks like she does, or else she wears a big padded bra during her workouts, because she looks like she is small chested on the cover and in the last section on posture, but during the workout itself, she looks much bigger breasted.....that's a little unnerving. Guest guest
That is so funny that you mention it because I noticed the exact same thing, to tell you the honest truth I think she has implants, because she shows some nip in her vids, it used to bug the heck out of me, but the other girls in the video are a mix, one for sure has obvious implants and the others are really small and flat and they all look excellent, but I agree I got the vids when I still had implants, I remember I couldn't tolerate the gym anymore so thought if I got the vids at home I could do them, man I used to get so dizzy then from the slightest exertion, crazy stuff, now when I work out I never get dizzy. Anyhow try not to let it bug ya lots of the fitness girls have implants, it is something I have just gotten used to, eventually I do think they will have problems too, for whatever reason some of us just get problems sooner than others anyhow you will see how killer your bod will start to look when you lift it gives you such confidence I was wearing lingerie and trying on bikini's and feeeling so awesome about how I have improved and I would say it took me about 4 months to really shape and change my physique, it is a great feeling, I should send you a couple of pics of me flexing a bit, LOL, you can get that look too, my suggestion is eat the vegetable protein, soy and what not, really that is what I do, but you will need some proteing to get major improvement in your muscle tone, this is probably one thing I do know about cause my sis is a trainer and she worked with me really great I learned so much from her about food, exercise, it has worked for me, I have 100% confidence, yeah sure sometimes I admit I get a little tinge of that jealous thing that I don't have nicer boobies, but my boobies match me, I am small and pettite and that is what my man likes and we are happy in every way with my body. I just subscribed to shape magazine and love it, it seems to be geared towards natural girls and not so many implanted women, lots of inspirational stories too about women who lost lots of wieght and overcame illness and got fit. It is an awesome mag to me, I like to read while on the eliptycal machine at the gym. I am excited too cause I just got my heart monitor which I am going to use now to optimize my cardio workouts so that I don't over work, I was getting myself into that anaroebic zone and finding myself so worn out later, no wonder. Be sure to do some cardio too with your weight traing, Kathy is really good as far as her method of training, so I try not to think about her implants, what can ya do. I am so happy I have finally learned to love the little me, although I love my air bras too ha ha ha. Getting ready to order 2 venus swimsuits for Hawaii, they are so cute, I love them, Pink and black. Well rambling again I guess I should go.
