I've heard that mosquitos are attracted to certain blood types, but have

never seen any credible info that supports that.

Good point, Holly. I have often wondered if the very componenets that make me

allergenic are what attract bugs so much. I have heard they are drawn to high

cholesterol too, but I haven't had meat or animal products in 10 years, and my

cholesterol is fine. There must certainly be something that attracts bugs so

much to one person and not to another-would be nice to what it is....so I can

give it UP, lol

People often have " intolerences " more so than true allergies, but don't always

make the connection between something they ate and a symptom, since it can

sometimes take several days for the reaction to show up. It is hard for some to

equate Thursday's migraine with something they ate on Tuesday, etc. Food

allergies and intolerences are FAR more common than people realize. Things like

eczema, dandruff, skin rashes, sore joints, migraines, etc. are often completely

eliminated once the offending food is discovered and eliminated. In my case,

ALL of my crippling ailments cleared up once I made the connection.

I NEVER get bitten (even when I'm sitting on my friend's porch) and they are all

being eaten alive.

I'm B-positive.

Now I do have sore joints but I am carrying too much weight. Also have arthritis

in back as well as joints.  The back one, I think with the discs are making the

one leg shorter, I believe, but haven't had the doctor check it out.  Not ready

to do something radical for it.

One of my granddaughters was practically a vegetarian but she had somany

allergies and headaches and TMJ and did a test for allergies and she was

allergic to most of the vegetables that she had been eating.  I doubt they were

organic.  I have no idea what she eats but she does eat a bit of what she wants

which can mean junk food.  But she didn't eat as much junk food before.  They

don't grow their own food.  They do eat a lot of cheese and milk, though she

doesn't like cheese and doesn't eat it herself.

Many standard allergy tests come back with false positives, mainly because the

testing method is flawed and doesn't allow for the pesticides on MOST fruits and

veggies, or the naturally occuring amines and salicylates. I showed " positive "

for cauliflower and pumplin-the two that I CAN eat with no problems, but I

showed " negative " for apples, which will land me in the ER. The testing is

seriously flawed. My sister in law was having terrible reactions to

apples-trouble breathing, hives, etc. I had her try organic apples, and she had

NO problem and eats them often. Those pesticides are usually much of the

problem, and one of the main reasons I started growing my own stuff. Even much

of the organic produces has MSG based " organic " pesticides, and so many people

are allergic to MSG that IT might be the problem, rather than the fruit itself.
