Guest guest
, With your background in Journalism, I'm sure you could direct a positive image to former contacts or new contacts. See my original post on this topic. Just a few clicks to help with national awareness for CMT, no money involved, just a good way to expand our work for the goal of a world without CMT. Guest guest
Jackie, I would say when you meet with your TV friend, show a copy of the poster, explain the 1st ever National CMT week is Sept. 19-26. But I would keep this seperate from the Telethon. While the Telethon does include CMT as a neuromuscular disese, with the CMTA heading up a National Week for CMT, this is seperating CMT from MDA and bringing CMT to the forefront. You can ask your friend to have a special 'health news' segement one evening, possibly interviewing you, you can ask your friend to have the station make a PSA to air using the poster. You can get brochures to all the stations staff and stress how important National Awareness is. Perhaps the TV station staff may rally around the week and create an event of their own for it. CMT Awareness Week is two full weeks AFTER the telethon. By that people have forgotten about it and it's a good time for 'nothing but CMT'.
