Guest guest
Meditation is essential for me. Whether sitting quietly and " listening " or working out, I have gained so much peace. I started first with what I was learning in a 12 step program - steps 3,7, and 11. I went to 11th step meetings regularly as well (still do) I spent some time learning TM, then gravitated to Centering Prayer, then to embrace Benedictine meditation. Someday it may only be 5 or 10 minutes " express meditation " . Nevertheless, it is certainly ritual for me. Besides inner peace/calmness, I have awarenesses and awakenings that help me with issues and general problems life drives my way. I no longer " re act " , I act, because of meditation. From meditation comes solutions for me. Ideas spring forth from this practice which I use for the greater good. Gretchen
