If you put a plate or something on top of the peas, I wonder if they would brow

up and push against that like the sunnies in a pie pan?  they didn't have

soil  or coir in them every time did they?  Maybe yours just need pressure

from above to get them to push, as it were, or as though it were through the

soil?

Subject: Update on my growing brassicas on an unbleached,

organic paper towel

Hi.

I just checked. It's been quite a few days. They are sprouting nicely, but

that's just it. They are sprouting. Not growing like a microgreen. I had made

holes in the wet paper towel thinking when I picked it up, I would see all the

roots (like I did with the sure to grow mat).

No roots. They are sprouting nicely. As if it were in a mason jar. All bunched

up.

So my experiment (while not technically failing because nothing died on me),

well I won't be using any unbleached organic paper towels to attempt to grow

anything.

Oh, I also did it with peas thinking the shoots would take root and shoot up.

Not happening.

Is it okay to take the pea shoots (pea with sprouts actually) and stick them in

some coir or a sure to grow mat? Or is it too late?

Thanks much

Melody
