Actually veggies in Fla are supposed to be planted in the fll, not in the

summer.  pobably too wet.  I plantedbut figure it may be futile.  I was just

anxious to get sarted.  I'll ploant aain in the fall.

i know where christmas is, diane.....i find that area of florida to be lovely

too and it is great that you found a place that pleases you after you lost your

home.....we lived in winter haven 9 between orlando and tampa ).....so, you grow

sprouts too besides you fresh vegetables.....you have an ideal place to do

It's true that Florida has 2 main growing seasons, fall and spring. We

grow year round by growing using hydroponics and use shade cloth in the

summer, winter covers when necessary in the winter. We also change the

varieties we grow according to the seasons. It is a bit more work but it

means I can enjoy lettuce, broccoli, and all the rest , 12 months out of

the year!
