Testing for CMT 1A

My husband got diagnosed when he was 7 yrs old. His grandfather has the gene for

it, but his dad and his dads' sister have it too.

My 5 yr old is experiencing a couple symptoms, like walking mainly on the front

of her feet, and falling ( got a little better since she broke her leg over a

year ago.). She has an appointment in December

with the neurologist ( same doctor my husband sees throught the MDA clinic)to

get tested. I was wondering what tests do they do. Will she feel anything?

She plays soccer and will be starting kindergarten in September. She is

healthy and active.
