Guest guest
I saw these when I was shopping today, but they were 2.79 for a tiny bit of them. I have some radish seeds here, how do I make them into shoots?
Guest guest
You will like radish sprouts. I do and have a 4 seed mix that is nice. I am going to visit my daughter and packed some 4 seed mix (radish, broccoli, clover and alfalfa) and a bean seed mix (lentils, garbanzo, mung. some bean I never heard of before adz something or other) She has a sprouter that was unused a long time and we are going to pull it out and get them started.  Put beans in a sprouter or jar and rinse well and cover with water and let it soak for 12 to 24 hours (12 should be fine but beans might do better at 24). Then drain off water and rinse them. You can sprout the radish in a mason jar with a screen or mesh on top for draining them and for circulation. Once you rinse them they must drain, either in the sprouter or turn upside down on a dish drainer and let it drain out. Then turn on the side and cover overnight so it " thinks " it is in the ground and continue to rinse and drain every 12 hours or can do once a day as that seems to work fine too for radishes. In a couple of days they will start to sprout out and you will see little white things. If they have a fuzzy white on them, it is not mold but tiny roots and just keep rinsing and draining every day. They will grow 2-3 " long and start eating them. They have a light radish taste that is pleasant. Can put on sandwiches or in salads or just eat them.  There is no dirt and no coir or any medium if you do them just as sprouts. Good luck with your radish shoots.  Others will have more experience than I do, but it is one thing I have sprouted and it worked really well and I could taste them very well. Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Monday, April 16, 2012 3:44 PM Subject: radish shoots  I saw these when I was shopping today, but they were 2.79 for a tiny bit of them.
