HI all,I wanted to peek in while I have a moment and am avoiding other tasks.:)

I apologize for not being present very often, especially of late.Life is a bit

of a challenge...the usual school issues, " launching " our oldest, but mostly in

the area of extended family. My Mother hasbeen battling ovarian cancer for 18

months - relentlessly, intensely -with not a lot of great outcome lately. So I

know you all understand my need to put my family - my Mom - firstfor a bit.

Beth and Donna are carrying the load, and do let me know when Ineed to peek in.

They can give you updates on what's going on with meif you desire. So for now, a

happy holidays greeting to you all.Laurie - take time for yourself. Heal your

heart.Take care,JoanMother of Andy (19) who has DS, autism, celiac disease and

isnonverbal, and , 22, who is moving to West Seattle at the end ofhte

month.PS - I will be posting our Holiday Letter this afternoon

Joan,

I must apologize for 'striking back' at what seemed to be a personal

attack. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I pray

to God for a Miracle breakthrough for your mother. There is nothing

impossible through Jesus. I have been so swamped I wasn't able to read

this before I responded to your post to me - I've been sick with a

fever/cold and trying to keep up with the responses from several lists

while also keeping up with the Office of Advocacy cases. I realize that

what I thought to be a 'tough time' right now is a cakewalk compared to

what you must be going through. I hope you take this sincerely - as it

is very much that. Take care of yourself and family in this time of

need. May the blessings and favour of God be upon you,

E. , Sr.
