Guest guest
Excellent news on an accomplishment here, yes! Glad this was a success. I saw this cookbook recently while I was purchasing some Christmas books. I just could not remember where I had heard about it but now that you have shared it, do believe it was Sara. I did not glance at it but will next time to check it out since this was with all the books on sale for the holiday. Thanks for sharing your cooking success. It happened to be right after we had decided to purchase a electric steamer, so we were already on the right road. I already had small chopper, and it's been keeping up with all of my pureeing. > > I haven't actually tried too many of Seinfeld's recipes yet. I did try & loved the banana bread & lemon blueberry muffins. There are several recipes I still want to try. The important thing is that it's been helping me to add veggies to our girls (4 1/2 & 2 years) diets. I know that I could have gotten information on steaming veggies & making purees off of the internet cheaper. However, with 2 kids under 5 it's not always easy to find the time. > > I've looked at many of 's main dishes, and just adapted the purees to existing recipes of mine. These days I'm almost always adding pureed carrot or cauliflower to our dinners. Tonight I made Chicken Tetrazzinni I decided to steam & puree the zucchini instead of slicing it thinly like I always do. I figured it would make it much easier on us at dinnertime, because we then wouldn't be trying to work around the zucchini for the girls helpings. Having chunks of chicken & spaghetti in the dish & I didn't feel like we were eating a " pureed " meal. The girls ate great! > > I just wanted to share my thoughts, and again thank whoever recommended the cookbook. > > Nina > >
Guest guest
We also love either julianned carrots or pureed carrots added to anything red like chili or red gravy. Cauliflour goes in mashed potatoes. Spinach goes in brownies. ANd zucchini can go in anything, but we like to add it to bread flours for bread or muffins and added to bannana bread is a double whammy. > I can't remember who talked about the Deceptively Delicious cookbook, > but I'm glad somebody did. Guest guest
SOLD!!! Y'all sold me on purchasing a couple of these books then so that my son and his ex will learn to apply some of these veggies for my grandson. I have not really pushed it other than carrots and broccoli and Juice Plus gummies, does contain some sugar but his appetite is improving. No problem with Master Stevo, he eats anything I have made. Not to jinx it but does beat when once upon a time being a picky eater. Thanks guys!
