Guest guest
Hey MB, ?? Well, remember I'm not doing the cafe any more.?? Thank goodness....I would totally have lost it by now....was too nuts.??? As for xmas dinner, I've already told my girls they get to stuff the bird this year....it grosses them out, but too bad....LOL??? If they can't handle it, Joe and his wife are cooks, and Duff is always capable. ?? Hand hurts, but Maddie is such a distraction.......who needs pain meds after a day with Boo...I simply crash into bed each night. D Re:? about car safety Oh Donna!!! We have had our share of car scares with Pete, but none as scary as Maddie's latest. I have walked myself through the " what ifs " , and came up with only the suggestions already made here. Pete would be trying to drive the car in the front seat, too. We have to be fastidious about the back-seat windows and door locks. Pete has done some tossing things to the front of the car- even a shoe or two- that has given us some moments. That has calmed down over time. But trying to dive through the window of a moving car- OMG!!! So, how are you going to get through the holidays' cooking with one hand? Oh dear. Prayers for a quick recovery and that you are able to find a fail-safe solution for Miss Maddie's particular genius of escaping. Hugs, MB

Guest guest
LOL Sara.?? I stopped doing 3 Sisters back in June, when my hand became almost unusable.??Severe carpal tunnel syndrome.??? We tried cortisone shots, but no luck, so had to get surgery.??? My sister took over the cafe, but it's been rough going (just ask Bob and Lynn Black who paid it a visit not knowing I wasn't doing it anymore....LOL).????Anyway, I have no regrets, but am so relieved to be out...it was WAY too much to try and keep up, with caring for Maddie and the rest of my family.?? I was losing weight, cooking all hours...crazy. donna? Re:? about car safety > > Oh Donna!!! We have had our share of car scares with Pete, but none > as scary as Maddie's latest. Guest guest
Dear Donna, I hope the surgery was successful. I didn't know that you quit the restaurant. Once my work season begins I miss some posts now and then. I can relate to the hand issues. After cutting over 30,000 bread in a few months time, my fingers look like sausages and barely bend.
