Guest guest
Darlene, There is another prototype called: SEGWAY. I prefer the Segway as our balancing issues are better to control standing up than seating. Dennis
Guest guest
I've seen the Segway but haven't had an opportunity to try it. Does it work well for you? Darlene
Guest guest
There are also various after market Seat kits that can be added to Segway. I don't know how much balance is needed for them with or without the seat. >

Guest guest
If you do decide to try the segway let us know if the sales rep was correct. In a message dated 6/16/2010 9:24:09 A.M. Guest guest
Hello All, I have demo ridden the Segway and find that it takes a fine touch of motor control over major muscle groups in your body. Its basic sensing is a center of gravity displacement stabilized by rate gyros. The more you lean the faster it goes. It definitely is not a steering thing. I had all I could do to manage it in the short turn. You might get used to it in the long run, but I would think that people with peripheral nerve issues are not suited to its form of control.
