Guest guest
Dear Mike, Thanks for clarifying. I wasn't trying to be nosey just trying to understand your situation. I share your frustration with the school situation. I have not yet shared with the list that Zeb was arrested two weeks ago after I refused the school based PPT team terms and conditions on his IEP. Zeb's IEP was not implemented at the time nor has it been. I cannot go into detail because of pending litigation, sped and judicial. The arrest was directed as retaliation for my refusal, two weeks after an incident and the following morning after the meeting. I do not expect that you use this information as it may jeopardize litigation. I live in a vicious school district. I know how you feel only too well. Thankfully your son's administration has common sense and a heart. Charlyne Subject: Re: What to do..../Mike To: Date: Tuesday, December 9, 2008, 7:25 PM Charlyne, My son lives with my ex-wife and my daughters in California. I am in Hawai'i part of the time and Calif. part of the time and all over at other times. He does have a BIP, The IEP was not followed properly, We are supposed to be notified if there is a substitute but in this case it was not only his teacher (who is really great) but also his 1:1 as well - so he had no aide. I just got off the phone with him and I hope someday I could be able to let things go like he does. He told me through his Aug. Speech device " Dad, I had to go in a car " , then he told me he wanted a milkshake (we're using Acidophilis milk as a Probiotic as he needs a chelation break due to Yeasts). As long as he isn't persevering on this I am calmer. The T.A. that jumped the gun and called the police on him was fired. The V.P. refused to press charges and he was just kept in a room and not put behind bars. Although my ex and I have had our differences we stay close for the sake of our children and when I'm in Calif. she lets me stay there so I can be close to my kids. I hope that clears it up. I'm still a mess and I can now see clearly how the listmembers that post to each other have built a tight bond. Thank you Sara for your concern and thank you Charlyne for yours too. > From: E. , Sr. <peace4kids@ ...> > Subject: What to do.... > To: @yahoogrou ps.com > Date: Tuesday, December 9, 2008, 5:09 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > I have posted too much to now ask for help/support from the listmembers. > > I pray for all the parents and their kids. Guest guest
Hey Charlyne: In this kind of situation I see that you have learned that the BEST defense is a GREAT offense. Stating that one will sue and not doing it is BAD, but telling them that you will and then DO IT makes S/D listen. TOO BAD to waste education dollars that way but sometimes necessary. > Dear Mike, > Thanks for clarifying. I wasn't trying to be nosey just trying to > understand your situation.
