Guest guest
Irma, I can just feel the excitement and how wonderful it must feel to see enjoying himself. Bless you for all your determination to make things work for him. I would have loved to see on the dance floor, so great. Glad that all worked out at your end too with the GF/CF cooking, thank goodness. Your hubby is a keeper, TEAM work, team work, sorry could not resist singing to this tune, have my grandson in Pre-K, going with the flow. My grandson is going to be 5 y/o soon, my time flies. Several might be on this listserve from our local SA Down syndrome Association support group, yesterday they held their Holiday party and my hubby and I decided to try it one more time as seemed well to attend and get him out. Well, it is such a brag time because he actually cooperated getting off the van, into the building, there were some greeters by the door and he responded back with a " hi " , that was loud and clear. Then we walked towards the ballroom/party room. He noticed the dance floor but my hubby and I figure eat first, then dance, no go for . He was determined to have it his way and he dance all night long and we let him be, this was his choice. This was such a Blessing to us to observe this once again as he did not have any interest towards music and dancing when his health deteriorated and everyone that knew him, would asked " What was wrong with ? " , we did miss the old when he would enjoy it very much. So what an early Christmas gift, my Happy feet child is back. Afterwards once we return home and he was settle he had allowed me to read him a book. Just an awesome evening and glad my hubby and I did not give up. ; ) Here is to us on our mission.
