Guest guest Posted December 29, 2008 Report Share Posted December 29, 2008 A very sweet little autistic boy from Mics school came up to me at the school xmas party and said to me " Are you Mics Mom,Mic is my best friend and I always wanted to meet Mics Mom " I was stunned, I asked him what his name was he told me " Luke " and took my hand and led me to his Dad and said " Dad, this is Mics mom " I had tears in my eyes. His Dad told me everyday Luke comes home talking about his best friend Mic, I mentioned it to his teacher and she told me oh yeah, theyve been close for about a year. I watched them together and saw that even though Mic is nonverbal and Luke is high function the two of them have their own little way of communicating together, something like I have never seen.I learn so much from just standing back and watching and to beable to say Mic has a best friend warms our hearts!!
