Elie and his two roommates came for dinner last night. We gave his

companions Xmas gifts and served a Chrismika (Xmas and Hannukah together)

meal. Our mountain friends prefer hama to all things. So we had a holiday

ham and LATKES for Hanukkah complete with mountain applesauce we made in the

fall.

Elie sat in the living room while we ate, listening and watching Sesame

Street goes to Israel for Hanukkah. HE took his food home with him on a

styrofoam plate.

But he reminded us that next week we are to come take him OUT to dinner!

He also checked to be sure we still had his container of clothes here - and

then told us he wasn't staying .

Love my boy to visit.

Happy holidays whether it be Kwanzaa, HAnukkah, Xmas, Denali or Something

Else!!!

Sara, how cool is that! Zeb spent last week at a leadership forum at the state

college. It was the first time away overnight without family. He had a blast.

Elie was invited by one of his new friends to go to a " sing " last nite. He

was told that if he wanted to go, he had to wear khaki pants and a collar

shirt. HE went to his room, got dressed, asked for help with his hair (VERY

SHORT HAIR) and told them black shoes at mom's. Any way. my sweet Jewish

boy went to an old fashioned gospel sing in the mountains and rocked out

with the audience. HE had a GREAT TIME. His favorite is his mom's favorite

- I'll Fly Away!!!

And he went with a friend from the community - not a paid staff member.

Charlyne: What Zeb was at a State College? My goodness such accomplishment here,

an overnight stay. WOW!!!

So proud of Zeb and glad he had a blast. Awesome!

Just one of the dude's out at college. LOVE IT!!!

Elie, loves this song too and adding Elie to actually sing this. Will

think of Elie being included with such an event, this is too cool.

You moms rock, thanks for sharing. : )

Irma,

Zeb was selected to attend a week Leadership Forum at UCONN. He had the time of

his life. It was the first time I was kidless in 35 yrs. I hate to admit but I

enjoyed the empty nest. Zeb went to a dance on the last night of the forum. He

told me that he met a girl that he liked and danced with most of the night. I

asked him what her name was but he said that he forgot, so much for finding a

girlfriend,LOL.

LOL... that is too cute. Yep, leave it to my buddy Zeb.

Just awesome Charlyne and really glad you handle this well too and on the part

of being kidless. A week, whoa, did not see this, this is such news!

Hope there are similar future outings, now that you and Zeb got a taste of such

social time and kidless time. : )

Our boys are growing up! Zeb, Garath, , Elie and the leader.

Wow. So many years .

Elie sings FLY AWAY with great gusto - the rest is sort of muttered a phrase

behind everyone else. But he loves to wave his arms and sway and sort of

dance. It is great. AND HE DRESSED UP FOR IT!!!
