Guest guest
Okay- All last night I thought of this group and wanting to post a question. My daughter 4 years old (DS/ASD) had a flu shot yesterday. It was a busy day, so she didn't get a nap. She fell asleep at 6:45 (typical time even with a nap), but was awake at 10:15... and I mean, awake!! She wasn't crying or acting uncomfortable, but clearly wasn't in a mood to sleep. I got her back to sleep a few times for less than an hour each time, and at 12:30 she slept for about 4 hours. She was up and working through her therapy very well today, and is still going strong without a nap. She's a little combative (scratching, throwing objects, etc.) if I try to lay her down, and almost acts manic: screaming with glee, laughing at things the rest of us don't see as funny...She's in her room right now yelling through the furnace grates. Has anyone else had this experience?? It's really out of character for Hannah and I'm a little scared. Thanks for any input anyone might have. I'm thinking if I called the pediatrician's office, they'd poo-poo me. ~Alice
