Guest guest
Good Morning All - I'm hoping everyone had a wonderful Holiday and things are starting to return to normal, whatever that may be. did great on Christmas, it was really fun to watch him. He was very involved this year - the first year he ever stayed for the whole thing! He was so cute, after he'd open a present, he'd hold out his arms and say, " " - as if to say, Ahem, my turn! Oh it was so cute. He loved all his gifts - most of all the Buzz Lightyear Grammie found for him and the Star Wars dress up outfit from his Aunt and Uncle! He's loving them both. Of course the internal therapist and teacher in me couldn't help but buy games and puzzles in hopes that it helps pass the winter months when sledding isn't an option! He hasn't touched those yet! No surprise, I'd like a talking Buzz better myself. Look forward to hearing how all the other " kids " did! Big and Little! Take care, Jayne
Guest guest
Hi Jayne, I didn't bother setting the clock thinking that Zeb would be up early as usual to open presents. I jumped up at 9am and he was still fast asleep. My crew usually starts coming in at 10. I was scrambling to get the food on. I got Zeb up to open his gifts before the grands piled in. He told me that he knows that there is no Santa. He liked his new clothes and cd's, grabbed his pile and took them to his room. He spent most of the day in his closet under the stairs in the play room. The older grandchildren had to stay downstairs to stop the little ones from terrorizing him. They open his closet door and Zeb grabs it to close it. I am so afraid that one of the little ones with get their fingers or arm shut in the door. Zeb has no patience for them after an hour. I have that problem myself. I am looking forward to a quiet New Year. Charlyne Subject: How was everyone's Christmas or Hanukkah? Guest guest
It was 's first Christmas that he didn't leave the room for presents. He really seemed to enjoy it and said " That was great. That was fun. " Those are some of the rote phrases he uses for when things are good. It was nice to see. He also joined the family when perservating on his new Elmo toy. Annoying, but great to see him seeking out people for company instead of doing this alone in another room as he would have last year. is 9 now. He had no idea what Christmas meant on Christmas Eve, but he was happy to join in when he saw the presents. He enjoyed church on Christmas Eve, too. Wouldn't eat in the large group table setting but ate well with just me on the couch. So it was a good thing overall. Beth How was everyone's Christmas or Hanukkah? Guest guest
nathan had a good christmas too, he kept finding the presents with his name and opening them im the middle of the night the last couple days before christmas when i was putting presents under the tree so it wouldnt look sare drab. Next year HIS presents wont go under until christmas eve, lol, but at least i know he can read his name real well. He got his muppet show 3rd season, his batman lego game, some clothes, and a mickey mouse clubhouse digital camera, which he loves and the button is the perfect size for his chubby fingers, lol. It takes 150 pics without card and then has a sd card slot too, and can push the magic wand button and take a picture with mickey or daisy etc. its very neat, hubby and i playe with it too, lol. He did a fantastic job at church on christmas eve, followed along on the program until it was candle lighting time (highlight of the evening for him, lol) also was eager and social at grandparents too. He had a very good year. shawna http://sewshawna.blogspot.com ________________________________ To: Sent: Sunday, December 28, 2008 10:42:58 PM Subject: Re: How was everyone's Christmas or Hanukkah? Guest guest
Tori did better this year with the gifts. Usually she flips when it is time to OPEN them. For years we had to just not wrap them. Well, she opened 4 and then that was that! Better than none! She loved her gifts, but the opening of them is too much for her.
