The problem I see with this is that it is replacing a MUSCLE; While this may be fine for an injured muscle, this is not the case for a peroneal nerve that is not growing properly in the first place (CMT 1A). The article even states that for the muscle transplant to work the peroneal nerve will have to regrow and we all know that our peroneal nerves do not grow correctly and have an inherent problem with the myelin insulation.
