Amy, Most DAN docs are pediatricians that have learned the biomedical

approach. Some test that they do are covered by insurance and office

visits. However a consult may not be covered. Keep in mind these

people are going to take more time than the usually 10-15 minutes you

get with regular Dr.'s. You might ask if any of the test can be done

by the regular pediatrician so your insurance will pay. The PANDAS

test was done by 's ped here and sent to the DAN doc. I hope this

helps. Cyndi B

the SAME ear infection.  We have teeth grinding non-stop, stimming

all day and screaming.  YAY!!! Then the added fun of oral meds for a

boy who HATES them.  I keep asking about the ear infection shot and

no one seems to know what I am talking about.

to any insurance companies?  We got a call to schedule finally... and

they wanted $600 up front just for the consult and then additional

money for the mandatory labs.  I know my baby is worth it but wow!  I

thought I had good insurance but this was a new one for me!

amy its a vaccine you need to ask for, pneumococcyl i think it was, would have

to check through nathan's records. they have to have it before age 8 or 9 i

think it was and its suppose to help prevent ear infections among other things,

but jit never did much for nathan. good luck! shawna
