Guest guest
Hi All, My daughter had several clots in her arm after a bad intravenous. Tried all sorts of known remedies and the QX for thrombophebitis, which the doctor quoted as the description of the blood clot. I came accross a product called nattokinase, that given just for two days dissolved the clots for her - to our great relief. Can purchase from distributor of many products... www.tidhealth.com great people run this company. The best to you, S.

Guest guest
I was put in the hospital for a week when they did the doppler on me for blood clots. I had 2 shots a day in the tummy. The needle didn't hurt but the med burnned for about 20 min. I take a blood thinner now and go in for doppler checks to check up on them. I have several in the main vein that flows up in my left leg. Some days they hurt so bad I can't walk. JC Menopause
Guest guest
Hi . Have you ever had this test before? Did you have an active infection at the time the test was taken? Has the doctor ever mentioned lupus? Here is a site that explains the test: http://labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/cardiolipin/test.html a On May 16, 2005, at 9:03 AM, wrote: > Hi, > > I recently had some blood tests done and one came back out of > range......IGM > Cardiolipin AB. Guest guest
, do you know which test was done, the reference range for the lab where it was performed, and what your titer for the anticardiolipin antibodies was? People with RA can have elevated levels of anticardiolipin antibodies. There is also much evidence that treatment with any of the anti-TNF biologics also cause people with RA to form anticardiolipin antibodies. Do you use Enbrel, Remicade, or Humira? Though I don't know how high they are, my mother has these antibodies and takes no preventative measures and has had no events (she is 68). On the other hand, I do have a friend who has lupus who has them, too, but she has had serious complications. Have you ever had any sort of thrombotic event in the past? Not an MD I'll tell you where to go! Guest guest
So sorry to hear about your DVT and pulmonary embolism, . I hope you are feeling much better. What were your physicians' ideas on why it might have happened? There are many risk factors for blood clots. I'm assuming they checked for blood abnormalities such as antiphospholipid antibodies and factor V Leiden. People with RA are at increased risk for both cardiovascular disease and noncardiac thromboembolic vascular disease. Here's one recent article: Arthritis Rheum 2006 Feb " Incidence of noncardiac vascular disease in rheumatoid arthritis " : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=pubmed & cmd=Retrieve & dopt=Abstra\ ctPlus & list_uids=16447212 Not an MD [ ] blood clots > Hi everyone, I'd like to know if anyone has had any problems with > blood clots because of the medications they are taking? Guest guest
,.....I hope your feeling better now. Not sure if the meds would cause blood clots. I'm sure someone will come up with an answer. My prayers are with you, Tawny
