touching tongue

I do have another issue with (it's ALWAYS something isn't it) right now.

She has started touching her tongue (night terrors started before this too) a

lot. When she was really little the tongue seemed to be out all the time. Over

the years she's gotten better about keeping it in.

Last Saturday during the Santa breakfast she was walking around constantly

touching her tongue. I talked to her speech therapist about it last Monday. We

both agreed that a big event like that, combined with 's sensory issues,

made her a little uneasy. She didn't cry at all during the breakfast, but she

did get in her comfort position a few times. We think this was a way to calm

herself.

She didn't seem to do it much since last Saturday. Well today you can't keep

her hands off of her tongue. She doesn't seems to get getting sick, and nothing

stressful appears to be going on today. She's sticking it out, and kind of

rubbing her hand along the side of her tongue. I keep handing her the tube

(kind of like a chewy tube) she chews on. She'll chew on it awhile, and then

right back to the tongue/hand thing. It's not very attractive, and is driving

me crazy!!!
