If you find the article/news on this please send it my way, ok.

I have heard something similar to it but with the remarkable progress

going on these months compared to the awful experience of what we had

gone through, you bet I am going to write and call to share our story

on the alternative biomed intervention.

It is politics, there is a lot going on.

Welcome to the world when your child is dx'd with some disability,

whether we like it or not, always have to voice our concerns.

This is what I have been busy lately, another chapter.

One of the mistakes that some of the DAN physicians make is mentioning

the word " cure " so this stirs red flags and of course then there are

some DAN doc's that do more harm than good.

This article is in regards to the treatment center attends.

Here's the link

Irma, I just read that article and it is hogwash. If I did not see

the difference in my so with my own (2) eyes then maybe I would feel

that way. But everything I have been doing for since April is

helping him feel better, and because of this I am thank ful. I will

continue to do biomedical because the regular MD. community has

failed my child to many time to count. Sign me up for where we

complain. I am glad that is improving and it is because of

you that it is happening. Some people have nothing else better to do

with their lives then try to disrupt the lives of others. I saw the

legal action on another website but no legal letters as of yet. Just

discussion about the ARI and what is taking place. Thanks for sending

me the link. Cyndi Burns

This is in regards to the CARE clinics, not in regards to the

DAN doctor, but still it is addressing about the Biomedical intervention.

Please keep me posted should you hear more in regards to the subject

line.

At the end of the article it says:

Be Wary of CARE Clinics and the Center for

Autistic Spectrum Disorders (CASD)

Barrett, M.D.

CARE Clinics and CASD offer services that are unsubstantiated and

lack a plausible rationale. I am very skeptical of their activities

and would like to hear from parents of autistic children who have

used them. I can be reached at . All information

provided to me will be confidential.

I have missed out on attending several of the sessions that the

Texas Health Freedom group have held out at the capitol due to

addressing some of the adult issues out at several of the committee

meetings which is also part of my challenges these days. Another arena

where I also have to tackle due to one of the Medicaid Waiver

is under and is an adult. There is a proposal of decreasing funds for

some of us parents/caregivers who wish to keep our individuals living

at home and become Care Providers or seek alternative avenues

with the residential settings of choice without being financially

penalized.

I have until the end of this year to write to the Texas Legislative

but having to meet deadlines with other issues going on. On the

computer with other Texas online friends as this is our via

communication to stay on tabs with one another.

Here is one of the stories related to it, when you have a chance to

read it.

Funding cuts put foster-care businesses in peril

Plus along with the Texas issues going on with the Waiver funds, here

is one of the latest that some of us from the Community Now!

Organization are addressing when it comes to state schools and our

Adult support group (TAIID) have become busy with these days.

I have been busy informing the media of one the candle vigil we will

have out at the state schools next week and so far 2 responses, no

promises but all good should it happen.

WHEN you have a chance to read this article, this is here in Texas.

Just staying on top of things due to the challenges thrown our way and

have found some remarkable routes where has benefit from, so of

course seek action where needed and I know I am not alone.

Here is more in regards to making sure not to miss out like when

receiving this information on the dietary supplements, here we go

again, another challenge to tackle.

A little of the information from the National Health Federation:

SHAKING DOWN THE CROWD FOR SHEKELS †"

WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON WITH THE FDA

By Tips

President, National Health Federation

December 1, 2008

You would have thought Pearl Harbor was being bombed.

FDA SAYS " NO SHIPMENT ACROSS STATE LINES IF STUDIES ABOUT SUPPLEMENT

HAVE EVER BEEN PUBLISHED! " To read more about this threat, we had to

skip first across the, as usual, prominent DONATION button and scan

down the page, but we were able to make out that this organization

claimed that the end might be near for dietary supplements unless

action was taken now.

Because of this organization's previous and current

exaggerated claim to have been responsible for the placement of

certain saving language in the FDA Amendments Act of 2007 ( " Nothing in

this title (or an amendment made by this title) shall be construed to

affect-- (1) the regulation of dietary supplements under the Dietary

Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (Public Law 103-417 " ),

when in fact the language was already in place in the bill at the time

of the organization's call for action, we raised yet another

collective eyebrow at its most recent cries of calamity. For the

average person receiving these sendouts, and hoping to be factually

informed, it is impossible to know, without extensive research, what

is factual and what is not.

Of course, through our attorneys and lobbyist, we were

aware that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was requesting

comments about implementing a 2007 law that prohibits interstate

shipment of foods with drugs in them or for which substantial clinical

trials have been conducted and published. And although the National

Health Federation is often at odds with the dietary-supplement and

health-food industry trade associations, we saw that those

associations had submitted well-researched and well-reasoned comments,

with which we generally agreed, to the FDA on the issue.

Here is what is really happening.

The Facts

Last July, the FDA requested comments be submitted.....

Hope you could find the article here.

Lots going on and of course sending it over to our president elect as

we have met up with some of the Texas Senators.

January will be more on the Legislature meetings so will make sure to

address what I can.

Gee, with the battles dealing with Special Education sure gives the

push for when they age out of the school system to the long term care.

Here is the original article that started it all in my case as my son

has been making tremendous progress compared to what he has been

through where all conventional doc's he is seen by where unable to

detect on what was going on with what he was suffering from but yet

knew there was something going, just could not pin point it.

This center is not a quack, can vouch for it and many other families

to who I am still sending this information to, to seek action.
