A Note from Joan

HI all,

I wanted to peek in while I have a moment and am avoiding other tasks.

I apologize for not being present very often, especially of late.

Life is a bit of a challenge...the usual school issues, " launching "

our oldest, but mostly in the area of extended family. My Mother has

been battling ovarian cancer for 18 months - relentlessly, intensely -

with not a lot of great outcome lately.

So I know you all understand my need to put my family - my Mom - first

for a bit.

Beth and Donna are carrying the load, and do let me know when I

need to peek in. They can give you updates on what's going on with me

if you desire.

So for now, a happy holidays greeting to you all.

Laurie - take time for yourself. Heal your heart.

Mother of Andy (19) who has DS, autism, celiac disease and is

nonverbal, and , 22, who is moving to West Seattle at the end of

hte month.
