Guest guest
University of Amsterdam's Academic Medical Center, polyclinic for rehabilitation has half-a dozen CMT experts. Food for thought...They do speak English, and you can pay your own way there, although you may be able to have some of it payed for by reciprocal agreements between these countries. Guest guest
Hi, if you contact the Walton Centre in Liverpool who specialize in neurological conditions they would be able to advise you who would be the best contact in your area. Guest guest
Hi Sam Originally I was diagnosed as having CMT by Bates at the Freeman in Newcastle on Tyne. Newcastle Uni is also doing a lot of work into neurological conditions. If you google him you should find a lot of other info. Faiing that and anywhere closer to home, Glasgow's Southern has a good quality neurology team (ie they recognise CMT when they see it amongst other things!) Discuss with your GP about how to be referred. Good luck and all the best. Fiona Glasgow, Scotland
Guest guest
Sam - I recommend the National Hospital for Neurology in London. Dr. Reilly is the specialist in CMT that I used to see when I lived in England, but I'm certain they have specialists in what you mention below. Go to their website and see what drs they have http://www.ion.ucl.ac.uk/divisions. > > Hi, > I have a close family friend here in england who has been previously diagnosed with 'peripheral neuropathy' and restless leg syndrome that is not responding that well to medications... and is looking to see a good neurologist specialized in one of these areas for a 2nd opinion/consult -- either within or out of NH system . > Can anyone recommend someone?
