Yes, yes absolutely. I asked the group about this a year or so ago and

other people affirmed the preperiod changes as well. While on PTU, I would

feel very hyper for about ten days before my period, everything you

described, and lose weight again. then I'd gain it back, like clockwork, on

day 2 of my period and feel fine.

Now on armour, I continue to peak into the hyperish range preperiod, eating

more and maintaining my weight, a little jittery, etc, although the extremes

are much less dramatic.

Hope this helps,

B

I have to be honest, finding my wedding dress was quite the adventure. The

only advice I can give is to for something relatively simple, avoid " foof "

and " fluff " of any sort, we just do not have the height to pull it off. I was

able to find an incredible dressmaker to be my seamstress. If you are going

to but something off the rack, I would highly advise the use of a dressmaker

versus your typical seamstress if you want the dress to look like it was

originally created to be that size, not something that looks like you altered

it. And whatever you do, SHOP EARLY! The alterations will take much longer

than expected and tell whoever is working on your dress that your wedding is

a week to 2 weeks earlier than the actual date to insure that it is ready on

time. Best of luck to you and congratulations on your engagement.

Always,

Rose Cunningham

PS: Shoe...I found mine by accident as I was shopping for something else,

that too was an adventure.

Hi :

Thank-you for raising the subject of tenderness,

because I too have that as well, and until now never

thought that it just might be related to the LDN. I am

mid cycle right now and never experienced tenderness

like this before starting the LDN. So that must be

why. I have also noticed I am very arthritic hands and

especially in my arms, at times very painful to. If

that is something you or anyone else is experiencing

please share with me as well. I have been on 3.0 for 7

weeks now. 1 more week and I start 4.0 I have noticed

though alot of what I was experiencing prior to LDN

isa thing of the past. So I am pleased so far. Take

care.

Over a year ago we did a poll and pretty much concluded that weight for adults did not seem to make a difference. It seems to be an individual thing as to what works best for your body.

It sounds like maybe we will be seeing LDN in the spam e-mails for making ones breasts larger. Maybe I should go on LDN. Much safer than breast enlargement surgery.

[low dose naltrexone] QUESTION FOR THE LADIES

Hello gal-pals,I've been on LDN for over 3 months now (1.5mg then 3mg and now 4.5mg).I did experiment with it (off/on) to see if I noticed any realdifference. I don't notice any big difference either way (with regardto MS symptoms), so I've decided to stay on it. I have noticed, however, that my breasts are more tender and larger ALL the time (likePMS....only non-stop. Has anyone else experienced this?? I weighabout 107lbs, so 4.5mg is ok, right? I'd love feedback. Thanks,

Marla,

I had heavy bleeding, but it was fibroids. I'm sure the mtx could be

the problem, you might ask your doctor. Tawny

I have never had a period with methotrexate this is because of other health

problems, but i still live with pain because of RA and a problematic pelvis.

I ended up having problems with my menstrual cycle, but all of my doctors

(rheumatologist and gynecologist) said that it was not from the methotrexate.

It was in fact from a stomach medication that I was taking (Reglan). I don't

know if you are on prednisone, but that can effect your menstrual cycle.

I never thought about my pills affecting my menstrual cycle. I am 34

and have had RA for 5 years. My periods are so heavy and have gotton

so bad lately I have to wear poise pads. I also tend to hurt more

when I am on my period. Do you feel this way also?

Hi there,

I have recently been diagnosed with Osteoporosis(sp) on top of my CMT :(

my doctor suggested, IV therapy,Boniva specifically. Was wondering what

medications have worked for you. If you have tried Boniva either by pill or IV.

I am curious to know what type of results you had or issues. From what I have

read,it doesn't look that great. Will probably try pill first, and if that works

will jump to IV, figuring it's easier to get off the pill than it is the IV. IV

is for six months. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx ():)

PS

I am currently taking Citrical and Vitamin D

It's common.  Females hormones are stored in fat cells.  As you burn the fat in those cells those hormones are released.WLS threw me into menopause.  I thought it was coincidental but my doc explained that massive weight loss affects hormones in many ways and it's very likely that is what happened to me.  Don't misunderstand, I'm NOT complaining! ;o)  But my point is that yes, it's common.

I was talking to the guy who does my hair about this last week.  He said the hair loss especially in women is due to the hormonal change after surgery.  He even said that he was betting I noticed other hormonal changes.  I said yeah!  Menopause.  He just nodded saying he's heard it a million times from his clients who had WLS.

Some women have more cycles, some have less, some stop.  Those with PCOS usually have more cycles because they usually don't have many at all before surgery.  You won't know the end result until a few months after goal.  But while you are burning what's in those fat cells your cycle could potentially be all over the place.

I've been regularly reading the posts now for awhile, and I've heard about the possibility of my hair falling out, but I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with their monthly cycle? I've had issues in the past when I was dieting & after losing 20 to 40 lbs. I would begin to have a " regular " period every other week!!! After a month of this I about lost my mind, & my poor family just about lost theirs!!!

Has anyone else experienced anything like this???

Thanks,

Cheri

Wow. Great explanation. My period has been all over the place. Totally

unpredictable, heavy and lasts forever. The last times this occurred was after

giving birth. I feel so much better with your explanation. I am 42 and have

started hot flashes at night since sleeve surgery too. I don't really care, just

interesting.

I am really lucky, i didn't even know i was going through menopause.  no hot flashes, no anything.  i wouldn't even have known it was complete without labs.  i would suggest you go to your doc and request a lab called FSH, follicle stimulating hormone test.  It will tell you where you are in menopause.  If you are as lucky as me, it's a done deal. ;o) If not you can get an Rx for bioidentical hormones. They will help with the hot flashes and the works.

Just please, avoid Premarin.  It is NOT a good drug.Premarin...Pre   pregnantmar  marein  urine

pregnant horse urine, that is what premarin is.  it isn't even CLOSE to what your body makes and increases your risk for strokes and heart attacks. On Sat, Oct 16, 2010 at 5:35 AM, <indyjls@...> wrote:
