Guest guest
Here in the SoCal area, a lot of nurserys are starting to stock coir. If you have a favorite nursery, you might ask if they can get it for you. One brick expands to five times its size. ew Re: If anyone has made any recent purchase from mshydro.com Hi Ernest, yes we do have the bricks in the UK. They're not so cheap, but I'm guessing that one brick would produce enough when wetted, to make several trays up. I've only seen the bricks sold online so it's the postage (shipping) that makes them expensive if I were to buy one to try out. Vermiculite can be freely purchased, so I've been using that (and compost) so far. It doesn't seem as convenient as the mats you guys can use. Charlotte > > Look for coir in compressed bricks. You just toss the brick into a bucket of water until it rehydrates and expands and you're good to go. > ew
Guest guest
I was also thinking Charlotte could check the UK Amazon since the US Amazon stocks them or go to the http://suretogrow.com web site and see if they have a store location finder for the UK. If not send them an email and ask. Lee > Charlotte, > You must have hydroponic supply stores, or growers in the UK. They would have some kid of mats that they grow on. They might sell you something, or direct you to a seller. > Try nurserys for coir. Thats what I use. > ew
Guest guest
Do you get the trays without holes in them? Or do you use a tray with holes and put it in a tray without holes? They are cheap but shipping is terrible so I'm going to look at Lowe's. Might find some at a nursery if you bought several plants and had them on a tray or got ones for the yard on a flat but then have to sterilize it. Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Monday, May 14, 2012 10:40 AM Subject: Re: Re: If anyone has made any recent purchase from mshydro.com  Here in the SoCal area, a lot of nurserys are starting to stock coir.
