Visiting Elie in HIS new house

Yesterday we went to visit Elie in his house so that we could meet the new

S/C. Since he moved to another Region from our house, he needed a support

coordinator from the new region. We are very sad to lose the wonderful

woman who shepherded us thru these difficult transitions, but the new GUY

seems very aware and on key. Liked him on first look, so we will see.

The really interesting part was the LOOK on Elie's face when we got there

(HE had been told we were coming but still). Our boy got PALE and SAD!! He

must have thought we had come to take him away. Once we told him AGAIN)

that we were only visiting - not eating, not sleeping, and that HE was going

out with once we left, he was his usual welcoming loving self. Just

that hesitancy as we pulled into the driveway where he had been waiting to

GO OUT.

HE showed us his room with all his " stuff " , and his bathroom, and his

treadmill set up in the guest room, and his favorite foods in the freezer

(and his pretzel stash in the pantry).
